UNLV Athletic Department Introduces Skinvisible(R) to Help Fight Infection

Skinvisible, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SKVI) (Website: www.skinvisible.com) has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Skinvisible Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has reached an agreement with The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), to supply its athletic department with its patented antimicrobial skin sanitizer lotion to help prevent the spread of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA, a skin infection bacteria that is increasingly affecting athletes.

UNLV is the first college athletic facility to use the Skinvisible(R) product, making it available to approximately 500 student athletes who train and compete at the university on a daily basis. 'We feel it is important to take a pro-active approach in the prevention to the spread of infectious germs, including MRSA, amongst our student athletes. In a recent USA Today article, reporter Gary Mihoces notes several cases of MRSA amongst high school, college and professional sports teams. In September 2003, several members of the NFL's Miami Dolphins were infected by MRSA. As well, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that a fencing club in Colorado, a college football team in Pennsylvania and a number of high school wrestlers in Indiana, have recently been hit by MRSA. The report concludes that the spread of MRSA is a growing concern among the general population.
