Skinvisible Sunscreen Formulations Destined For Major Retail Outlets
Skinvisible, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SKVI / Website: www.skinvisible.com ) announced that it has signed an agreement to manufacture a range of suncare products, including its patent-pending SPF 15 and SPF 30 sunscreen formulations, for SunSpots International, Inc. (“SSI”) who will market the products internationally through major retail outlets.
The Washington-based developer of innovative sun-detection stickers will market the suncare products along with its SunSpots stickers in over 29,000 retail outlets in the United States as well as in Canada and Europe. Agreements are already in place with U.S. retail giants Wal-Mart, Kmart and CVS. The SunSpots stickers, endorsed by several leading dermatologists including Dr. David J. Leffell of Yale University’s School of Medicine, were designed as a fun, easy-to-use, and inexpensive monitoring tool that changes color indicating when the maximum recommended level of sun exposure is reached.
"The agreement with Skinvisible propels us beyond our mandate to monitor sun exposure and detect risks for over-exposure, says Mr. Lyle Durham, President of SunSpots International, Inc.". "It completes our commitment to provide maximum sun protection for customers".
The suncare products, formulated and manufactured by Skinvisible incorporating its patent-pending Invisicare® polymer-based delivery system, will be marketed by SSI under the SunSpots trademark and logo. Proven advantages of the Skinvisible sunscreen formulation include its ability to bond with the skin, holding active sunscreen ingredients in place for extended periods, resisting wash-off, and providing longer persistence in water. Independent clinical studies have demonstrated successful results which allow labeling as "Very Water Resistant with an SPF of 30" in accordance with FDA Final Sunscreen Monograph requirements.
"Our patent-pending polymer delivery technology and manufacturing methodology have proven highly successful in sunscreen compositions”, says Mr. Terry Howlett, President of Skinvisible, “so our arrangement with SunSpots is a natural extension of our commitment to increasing skin cancer awareness and sun protection for all ages".
Headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, Skinvisible, Inc. is focused on the development of innovative topical polymer-based delivery systems and related technologies incorporating its patent-pending formula/process for combining hydrophilic and hydrophobic polymers into stable water emulsions. Skinvisible’s primary marketing and sales objectives are to license its technologies and/or sell its delivery systems to provide enhanced product performance for established brand manufacturers and providers of prescription, over-the-counter, cosmetic, and skincare products. In addition Skinvisible formulates and manufactures products for private label customers.
