Skinvisible Signs Agreement for Distribution of Its Antimicrobial Hand Sanitizer Within China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau Markets

LAS VEGAS, Jul 14, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ --

Skinvisible, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SKVI) (Website: www.skinvisible.com ) announced that it has signed a Distribution Agreement with Canadian-based Clara Laboratories Ltd. granting them the right to distribute, market and sell its patented Antimicrobial Hand Sanitizer lotion and spray formulation through established sub-distributors in China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau.

This development follows Skinvisible's April 16, 2003 announcement of a Distribution Agreement with Clara Laboratories to market Skinvisible's full line of proprietary Invisicare(R) polymer-based delivery systems and existing product formulations in the South Korean marketplace. The previous announcement indicated that discussions were underway for Clara Laboratories to acquire the antimicrobial hand sanitizer rights for additional markets.

Skinvisible has shipped an initial order of nineteen 55-gallon drums of the Antimicrobial Hand Sanitizer formulation for the Honk Kong market. Skinvisible expects to ship product both in bulk drums and pre-packaged in order to meet a strong and growing demand for its proprietary formulation within the Asian marketplace. Clara Laboratories has a mandate to represent and promote North American medical technologies within the Asian marketplace and reciprocally represent Asian technologies within North America.

Proven advantages of the Skinvisible formulation include its demonstrated ability to adhere to the skin, forming a protective bond, resisting both wash-off and perspiration while holding the active ingredient Triclosan on the skin for extended periods of time. Independent studies show that the active agent stays on the skin for up to 4 hours per application, maintaining its effectiveness even with frequent hand washings, providing a continuous kill of pathogens tested during that time. Skinvisible's proprietary formulation is alcohol-free, offering distinct advantages over alcohol-based gel sanitizers that typically provide instant protection but offer no long-term persistence, wash-off, and require continuous reapplication, sometimes causing adverse skin reactions.

'Although it is proven to be effective on its own, we specifically designed our sanitizer formulation to be a complementary adjunct to hand washing rather than a replacement,'emphasizes Skinvisible's Chemist, Dr. James Roszell. 'What sets our product apart is not only its ability to bond to the skin and remain effective for extended periods, but also the simultaneous benefit of protecting the skin against the rigors of even frequent hand-washing such as that required to meet medical and food service protocols.'

Headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, Skinvisible, Inc. is focused on the development of innovative topical polymer-based delivery systems and related technologies incorporating its patent-pending formula/process for combining hydrophilic and hydrophobic polymers into stable water emulsions. Skinvisible's primary marketing and sales objectives are to license its technologies and/or sell its delivery systems to provide enhanced product performance for established brand manufacturers and providers of prescription, over-the-counter, cosmetic, and skincare products. In addition Skinvisible formulates and manufactures products for private label customers.
